Aggreko helps FTSE 100 end Friday up 0.62 per cent

The FTSE 100 ended the week on Friday up 0.62 per cent led by the temporary power provider Aggreko.

At the close of play the London index stood at 5,358.17 – a rise of 33.08 points.

Aggreko recorded the most impressive gains on the day, up 7.01 per cent to 934.63p.

Shire and Unilever also performed well, rising 4.58 per cent and 2.69 per cent respectively.

Royal Dutch Shell suffered the worst drops on the day, falling 4.11 per cent to 1,725.13p.

Anglo American also fell 1.78 per cent after the mining giant announced its net profit more than halved last year.ADNFCR-1783-ID-19627078-ADNFCR
