FTSE 100 down ahead of Darling's PBR

The FTSE 100 started the day slightly down as chancellor Alistair Darling prepares to deliver his pre-Budget report.At 09:39 GMT the London index stood at 5,197.83, a drop of 25.30, 0.48 per cent.
Man Group led the drops down 4.10 per cent to 303.70p, while Fresnillo was down 21.5 points.
Leading the gains in early trading was Whitbread, up 23 points to 1,313p.
Royal Bank of Scotland, Lloyds and HSBC also saw positive gains despite Mr Darling's expected announcement of a 'super tax' on bonuses.
