FTSE 100 down slightly on Friday morning

The FTSE started Friday slightly down, slipping 0.3 per cent in the first hours of trading.

At 10:57 GMT the London index stood at 5,710.23 – a drop of 17.42 points.

International Power suffered loses of 2.7 per cent in early trading, seeing its share price drop 320.9p.

Standard Chartered and Thomas Cook Group also slipped 2.06 per cent and 1.73 per cent respectively.

British Land Company enjoyed the best start to the day, rising 1.81 per cent to 477.9p.

Segro and Land Securities Group also rose 1.50 per cent and 1.32 per cent on Friday morning.ADNFCR-1783-ID-19690881-ADNFCR
