FTSE 100 ends the week in disappointing fashion

The FTSE 100 ended the week in disappointing fashion, slipping almost half a per cent on Friday.At 10:57 GMT the London index stood at 5,703.02 a drop of 24.63 points or 0.43 per cent.
International Power suffered the biggest loss of the day, down 3.88 per cent to 316.9p.
Man Group and Scottish and Southern Energy also slumped 3.58 per cent and 2.13 per cent respectively.
The world's largest advertising group WPP led the gains, rising 2.86 per cent through Friday, ending on 665.5p.
Marks and Spencers and Cairn Energy were also up 2.2 per cent and 1.69 per cent.
