FTSE 100 up 1.66 per cent in early trading

Britain's top share index was 1.66 per cent higher at 10:30 GMT on Monday, up 87.34 points.The blue chip index closed 0.3 per cent lower on Friday, also falling in the three previous sessions.
Miners led the rally in early trading as gold reached a record above $1,160 an ounce on Monday, lifted by a retreating dollar.
Randgold Resources was up 4.44 per cent, Rio Tinto up 2.23 per cent and Vedanta Resources 2.67 per cent.
Clothes retailer Next was also up at 1.8 per cent, or 33 points.
