FTSE dragged down in early Friday trading

The FTSE 100 slipped 1.34 per cent, or 69.03 points, on Friday as concerns over Chinese demand once again drove miners down.By 09:53 GMT the index was at 5,070.28, with Compass Group (5.26 per cent) among only five risers.
Head and shoulders above the other losses was ICAP, with the inter-dealer broker giant falling 17.28 per cent after full-year earnings missed analyst expectations.
Schroders was down 4.03 per cent meanwhile, followed by Lloyds Banking Group (3.80 per cent) and Man Group (3.64 per cent).
