Wolseley slips in early trading after Tuesday's strong gains

The FTSE 100 opened Wednesday slightly down the day after the governor of the Bank of England warned more emergency money may have to be pumped into the economy.At 09:24 GMT the London index stood at 5.313.28 a drop of 1.81 points, 0.03 per cent.
After leaping 12.49 per cent on Tuesday, the building materials group Wolseley recorded the biggest slump this morning, down 2.52 per cent.
Reckitt Benckiser Group also fell 2.16 per cent as the fallout from the Office of Fair Trading's accusation of market rigging continues.
The OFT claims the household products giant may have attempted to restrict the competition in the supply of heartburn medication to the NHS.
Scottish and Southern Energy led the gains, rising 0.89 per cent to 1,136p.
Standard Life and Smith and Nephew also rose 0.67 per cent and 0.57 per cent.
On Tuesday Mervyn King told MPs the Bank may have to restart its quantitative easing programme over concerns at the state of the eurozone.
